ADOPTED 8-13-11 My name is Betsy. I am a 6 month old yellow lab. I was dumped along with my sister on a farm. Something terrible had happened to one of my back legs. The lady called the wonderful people at the Humane Society and they took me in and took me to the vet. My leg was so badly shattered that the vet was unable to save it so it had to be amputated. I am recovering well from the surgery. I am a very sweet and loving girl. Having only 3 legs does not stop me from running and playing. I can keep up with the best. I am house broke, current on shot, dewormed and microchipped. If you adopt me you will be given a voucher to have me spayed. Please consider giving me a loving forever home.

I get along well with children but I am very feisty so I probably wouldn’t do well with small children. I do not do well with other male dogs but do not have a problem with female dogs. Baby is 7 years old. She was taken from the Tahoka animal shelter. She was potty trained but since being at the shelter she is a little rusty but her foster mom is working on it. Lucy and her sister were owned by a guy that lived at a mobile home park. They both had puppies. The owner of the mobile home park got the sheriff to remove the dogs from the owner because he was not feeding the mommas and just letting them run around. She is very sweet, good around other dogs, we don’t know about cats (doesn’t seem to care). She had just recently weaned her puppies. She loves to have her belly rubbed. Her foster home is working on house training and she is doing well. Lucy would make a nice addition to a home.
