The Humane Society Wellness Clinic

The purpose of the Wellness Clinic is to make sure we offer healthy and
happy pets for adoption.  The Clinic is held every Tuesday by appointment. For appointment call 806-799-7387.
The pets entering our system are brought in by foster parents taking care of
abandoned or abused pets or people relinquishing pets to us. Our clinic is
not available to the general public for the care of their personal animals. The check ups include:

-general health and temperament check
-first vaccine or booster
-heartworm or feline leukemia testing
-microchip
-de-worming
-health record or update

If the animals pass their screening, they are then scheduled with one of our
cooperating veterinarians for spaying or neutering and are given a rabies
shot at that time. Those too young to be sterilized receive a voucher for
the procedure to be done at a later time. Those with injuries or serious
illnesses are referred to one of the seven veterinary clinics who work with
us. At the time of adoption, a record of the pet¹s vaccinations and tests is
given to the new owner.

We appreciate contributions to help with the costs of insuring that we are adopting out healthy pets.
